Ryan will be providing a weekly memory verse each Sunday during his sermon that you won’t want to miss!
FreedUp Small Groups
We discovered through our last church survey that financial and budgeting pressures were an incredibly felt need in our community. We are launching a small group campaign at the end of the month going through a 7-week study called FreedUp. FreedUp is a scripture-based program that’s focused on your financial habits to thrive financially and grow spiritually; whether you are in debt or not. If you are already in a small group you will be going through this content starting THIS WEEK. Mama’s Group is back!
Join a community of moms who seek Jesus together through Bible study, prayer, and friendship! Every other Thursday morning starting February 1st at the Awakening Office from 9:30am-11:15am. Childcare is provided for babies – 5 years!
Women’s Spring 2024 Study
Over 10 sessions, discover how God orchestrates everything for His glory and the good of His people, and see how the God of creation and covenant is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Awakening 101 is a space designed for you to come and hear the history and heart of Awakening. This class is an in-depth look at our story as a church where you will hear from our Lead Pastor, Ryan Ingram, and other members of our staff and leadership. Join us on the first Sunday of the month for lunch as we walk you through our philosophy of ministry and provide you with opportunities to lean into as a next step.

Youth Parent Connect
Come meet other parents of teenagers! Whether it’s your first time at Awakening or you’ve been around for years, we want you there. This is for ALL parents of youth (6-12th grade) and their kids. Join us Sunday, February 4th, 10:45am-11:15am in the Youth Room (Library) for breakfast and time to connect with one another!
Parenting with Mental Health in Mind
A kid’s inner world has the power to shape everything – their social lives, academics, and their overall mental state. But statistics are showing that anxiety, depression, self-harm, and so many other mental and emotional challenges are on the rise among our kids and teens. If that thought makes you overwhelmed or scared, you’re not alone. We’re here to help.
We’ve partnered with Parent Cue and Dr. Chinwé Willians to provide some essential insights that will help you learn the psychology of what’s going on in your kid’s brain and science-based, practical tools to help you navigate your kid’s mental health.
Join us for Parenting with Mental Health in Mind, a free event for parents of 4th-12th graders on February 9th from 6:30-8pm at the Awakening Offices!
Food Pantry | Every 1st & 3rd Thursday
As a church we have a partnership with CityTeam and Del Mar High School to bring a mobile food pantry to our community in San Jose! This happens every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month from 3pm-5pm. We encourage you to sign up today as we are always in need of more volunteers!
