Online giving, kids ministry, and event registration

If you participate in online giving or kids ministry, we direct you to a website owned and operated by Ministry Centered Technologies (MCT), which manages payment processing for us. The information you share with MCT is shared with us.

Planning Center is a church management system operated by MCT which provides online giving, giving management, kids ministry management, and event registration among other services. Personal Data collected includes your first name, last name, email address, mailing address, small groups you attend, giving transactions, payment information, age, and family information for kid’s check-in (your child’s name, age, allergy information, and attendance date and time). Contact forms

When you provide an email address and name to us with a contact form on our website, we share this information with MailChimp to send you a newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time. MailChimp is an email address management and message sending service provided by Intuit Inc. Personal Data collected: email address, first name and last name. Place of processing: United States. For more information, see the MailChimp Privacy Policy. MailChimp is a Privacy Shield participant.

When you sign up for events, provide information to us, or need to pay for goods or services we provide, we link to and embed contact forms and payment collection forms provided by Planning Center. This is a service owned and operated by Ministry Centered Technologies which collects cookies and usage data among other information you provide in the form. Place of processing: United States. We collect our own website analytics which are not shared with any third-party. We use the data collected to track and examine the use of our website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

For users who participate in online giving, information about your gifts are retained indefinitely. We must retain this information for tax reporting purposes.

First-party analytics about visits to our website and its usage are retained indefinitely. Website administrators can also see this information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service, Akismet, which is provided by Automattic, Inc. The information we collect includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself). If you fill out a contact form directly on our website, or if you fill out a contact form by hand, information you share with us on the form may be shared with Planning Center (Ministry Centered Technologies), MailChimp, or Google Docs, which provide database and newsletter services for us.

Google Docs is a service provided by Google LLC which provides hosted spreadsheets and other office software. We use this service to coordinate response to information you share with us with an online or handwritten contact form. If you volunteer for our kids ministry, you will be required to complete a background check before serving and from time to time as the check expires. We use Checkr, Inc. for servicing background checks. Personal Data collected includes your full name, address, SSN, and other details as required by the vendor. Sharing this information is voluntary, but if you do not share this information or do not renew a background check when it expires, you will not be able to serve in kids ministry. Information about your background check status (Clear/Not Clear, effective date, and expiration date) is shared with Planning Center so only cleared individuals are allowed to be assigned to kids ministry volunteer positions.
