What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Online giving, kids ministry, and event registration
If you participate in online giving or kids ministry, we direct you to a website owned and operated by Ministry Centered Technologies (MCT), which manages payment processing for us. The information you share with MCT is shared with us.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Microsoft Application Insights is a web analysis service provided by Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft utilizes data collected to provide Awakening website administrators with information about the usage and performance of our website. Microsoft does not use this information for any other purpose and does not share the information.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For users which share their email address, we may store this information to provide you with a newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time by selecting the unsubscribe option in the newsletter. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For users which fill out a contact form, we store this information and its metadata indefinitely. This is so we can recognize you if you’ve contacted us in the past. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For users who participate in online giving, information about your gifts are retained indefinitely. We must retain this information for tax reporting purposes.
Information about visits to our website and its usage are retained indefinitely by Google and for up to 730 days by Microsoft.
For users which participate in live chat and live prayer during our online services, your chat messages are not saved beyond 20 minutes after the end of the church service. If you sign up with your own account, information you share such as your name, email, and avatar are retained with Church Online Platform and we have access to this information.
Information about our online service visits, including number of attendees, number of messages, number of responses to calls to action, number of prayer sessions, and number of private messages are stored indefinitely by Church Online Platform and shared with us. We do not retain any personally identifiable information and use this information only for analytics purposes.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
If you fill out a contact form directly on our website, or if you fill out a contact form by hand, information you share with us on the form may be shared with Planning Center (Ministry Centered Technologies), MailChimp, or Google Docs, which provide database and newsletter services for us.

We receive information from Google LLC, Twitter, Inc., Facebook, Inc., Vimeo, LLC, and Life Covenant Church, Inc. about video viewership information and interactions with our social media posts.
