Never, Lord!

What if God is really for you?

We tend to think that if there is a God, he must be distant or aloof — or maybe he’s just waiting for us to screw up. The staggering good news for our weary world is that God is FOR all people. He loves you with a relentless passion; He is your biggest advocate – no matter who you are or what you’ve done. The invitation of Jesus is not just for some people or the “right” people, it is for every single person.

Jesus, the God-man came for you, suffered at the hands of His creation for you, rose to life for you to have new life.  God is for you. And he longs for every single person to step into a new life in Jesus.

Teaching Notes

The Gospel is GOOD NEWS for all people, not just some people. And so, we are to GO SHARE it with all people.

NEVER, LORD! (ACTS 10)

Often a FOREVER GOOD is on the other side of a “NEVER, LORD!”

Changing the Narrative of Never:

  1. God could never USE me.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9

Never MINIMIZE the gifts God PLACED in you.

2. God could never REACH them.

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 1 Peter 3:15-16

Never SAY someone’s NO for them.
