INTO YOUR HANDS

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Luke 23:44-46

 

- You have far less CONTROL than you THINK you do.

Commit: to put into the care or protection of someone, to entrust for safekeeping, give over, entrust, commend

Spirit: breath, soul, the immaterial you, inner being, that which animates or gives life to the body, the source and seat of insight, feeling, and will, inner life

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.
