Day 9
Scripture Focus:
This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’”
Matthew 6:9-13
Prayer Focus: your kingdom come,
your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Surrender: giving God full & complete control of every area of our life. [Rom. 12:1]
Personal: Surrendering to God means giving this moment… this day… this week… this month… this year… and all of your life completely over to God’s control. Invite the King to take his rightful place in your heart & life. As you take a few moments to express your heart to God, you may want to physically kneel or raise your hands to physically signify your surrender to God.
Communal: Pray that we would be a community of people whose lives are surrendered to God. Imagine the work God could do through a community whose hearts are fully His. Pray that as a community we would chase after God’s vision for this city– that God’s Kingdom would come here.
