How would you define paradise? Perhaps it’s a place, a scenic explosion for the senses– a breathtaking beach, a majestic mountain getaway, a quiet garden. Or a state of being– perfect happiness, bliss, with pleasure at your fingertips. Maybe it’s living your best life, stress-free, untangled by the pressure and demands of life. The craving of the soul is for paradise. True Rest, Complete Peace, Breathtaking Beauty, Pure Happiness. Where can you find the paradise your heart truly longs for?

Lent Bible Reading Plan
Lent has historically been a season of renewed focus and fasting during the 40 days leading up to Easter Sunday. As we let old habits die and form new ones, we are a metaphor for Jesus’ death that ends in new life.
Scripture tells us that the one who meditates on God’s Word is “like a tree planted by streams of water”. This Lenten season we want to invite you to meditate daily on Scripture and experience the beautiful reality of a life firmly rooted next to a life-giving source. Join us in the Gospel of Matthew using a devotional by NT Wright called “Lent for Everyone”. We will go through this devotional using the Bible app and hope that you will join us!
Food Pantry
As a church, we have a partnership with CityTeam and Del Mar High School to bring a mobile food pantry to our community in San Jose! This happens every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month from 3pm-5pm. We need 8 more volunteers for THIS Thursday’s food pantry. Click below to sign up!

Easter at Awakening
There are few things in life we feel are fully finished. We live not in the done but in the doing, ever striving and rarely arriving. We feel this spiritually too: I need to do _______ to experience peace or find hope and meaning. From the cross Jesus utters some of humanity’s most important words, “It is Finished“. What if purpose and peace aren’t found in what you do but in what God has already done for you? We hope you‘ll join us for Easter at Awakening Church.
Kids Ministry will be available for babies – 5th grade.
Easter 1 Time Serve
With Easter coming we are asking for your help! We have 5 ministries that have a big need for volunteers. We are asking that you sign up for a 1 time serve opportunity and partner with us in making this an inviting space for guests who will come for Easter. We have opportunities on the Saturday before Easter as well as the day of Easter. Click below for more information!
College & Young Adults
Every Second Sunday we host a lunch/brunch at the college kickback tent after second service! If you are in College or a Young Adult we would love to see you there!
Adult & Child Baptism Classes
This class is for any adult or child who has never been baptized, would like to learn more about baptism, or those who were baptized as a baby and would like to make a commitment now that they are an adult. Even if you previously walked away from faith for a time and would like to recommit your life to Christ – this class is for you! Join us as we look through scripture, answer questions, and let you know what the next steps are to taking this big step in your walk of faith.
The Adult Class will be at 10:45am & 12:30pm, Sunday, March 24th, in Room 29. The Kids Class will be at 6pm, Tuesday, April 2nd. A zoom link will be sent before the class, a parent or guardian must be present in the class with their child.
Awakening will be doing baptisms in-service on April 7th!
