We exist to awaken this generation to new life in Jesus Christ.
We’re so glad you’re here! If you’re new to Awakening, we would love to get to know you and for you to get to know us! The best way to do that is by filling out a Connection Card.
Advent Week 2 | All Who Belong
There is just something about the name of Jesus. His is the name that will not go away. Two thousand years later, the name of Jesus is still a part of our cultural landscape. Political people use His name to try to win votes or an argument. Hurting people pray in His name to bring comfort and help. Spiritual people sing songs about the name of Jesus. And just about every person has yelled His name when smashing their finger with a hammer. Why? What is it about the name of Jesus? Where did his name come from? Why is it important? And what significance does it hold for us today?
Bring a friend and join us this Sunday for Week 2: All Who Belong as we dive into Matthew 1:2-17!
Christmas Eve
In the hustle and bustle of the holiday rush, the flurry of to-do lists, and the frenzy of festivities, we find ourselves caught in a whirlwind that leaves us exhausted. More often than not, the most wonderful time of the year tends to be the most stressful time of the year. What your soul needs is a moment to stop. To catch your breath. To let your heart be filled with wonder.
We invite you to Christmas Eve at Awakening to pause amidst the holiday noise and experience the peace of Immanuel, God with us.
Sunday, December 24th at 9:30am or 11:15am. Kids Ministry babies – 5 years old available.
Young Professionals Panel
Calling all Young Professionals to come to our first-ever YP panel! We will be focusing on Godly relationships; whether you are navigating singleness, are years into your marriage, or somewhere in between, you won’t want to miss out on this night of community and wisdom. Join us tomorrow, Dec. 7th at 7 pm at the Awakening Offices as we hear from a variety of people in different seasons!
This Sunday the 10th
Baptism is an external symbol of the internal transformation that occurs when someone crosses that line of faith and trusts in Jesus as their rescuer and leader. It was Jesus who not only commanded baptism but was baptized himself. So if you’re a follower of Jesus and ready to follow Him in the obedient step of baptism THIS Sunday we would love to hear from you!

Del Mar Giving Tree
We’ve always said Del Mar is more than just a place to meet but a people to love. Our annual Giving Tree provides students nominated by their teachers a chance to have their Christmas wishes come true!
You can participate in 2 ways: take a tag off the tree and return the tag and gift at church by 12/17 OR you can give online or via check and specify the gift to the “Compassion Projects” fund where it will be a monetary gift that will go towards the Del Mar Giving Tree through 12/17. (Donations to the Compassion Projects fund may be tax deductible and will appear on the individuals’ year-end giving statements).
Thank you for your generosity!
