Dear Awakening Family,

Each December, I ask God for one word that captures what He’s been doing in our church. This year, that word is FAITHFUL.

God has been faithful. You have been faithful. And because of that, 2025 has been a year marked by people awakened to new life in Jesus.

You see His faithfulness in the college students who arrived on campus searching for belonging and found a spiritual home at Awakening—over 50 new students stepping into community, building life-giving friendships, growing in their faith, and for some, finding Jesus through salvation and baptism. You see it in parents watching their kids meet Jesus at Camp Wonder, in teenagers finding mentors and identity in our youth ministry, in adults stepping out of loneliness into healing community, in families at Del Mar receiving help in moments of crisis, and hundreds across Awakening who said “yes” to Jesus this year, taking a next step of faith. 

Your generosity makes these stories possible. This is what it looks like when a church commits to awakening this generation to new life in Jesus. 

Here are a few ways God worked through your faithfulness in 2025: 

• College: More new students connected than in any year in recent memory.
• New Life: 22 baptisms and over 100 people responding to the Gospel.
• Kids + Youth: A thriving kids ministry, a vibrant youth community, and students discovering identity, belonging, and purpose. 
• Formation: Healing Path, Women’s Collective, Groups, and Studies—over 300 people rooted in Scripture and community. 
• Serving Our City: Thousands of meals through CityTeam, families supported at Del Mar, and real needs met across our community. 

Every number is a person. Every person is a story. And every story points to a faithful God who isn’t finished yet.

As we look to 2026, we believe God is calling us to grow deeper so we can reach wider— strengthening discipleship, investing in the next generation, and expanding our impact in Silicon Valley. To step into what God has next, we need our church to finish the year strong.
