How do you experience a strong, vibrant marriage that lasts a lifetime?
A strong, vibrant marriage does not just HAPPEN; it is BUILT.
STRESS TO THE STRUCTURE
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance…
Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
- We are all subject to TIME.
Time: a proper suitable moment for an event
- Life is SEASONS.
Season: appointed time, a specified time something will happen
- Marriage is a SERIES of SEASONS.
Are we in a season or stuck in a cycle?
Every new SEASON of life almost always requires a new RHYTHM for life.
We get into RUTS when we bring our old RHYTHMS into our new season.
3 Seasons to Strengthen the Structure:
- BEGINNINGS & ENDINGS
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
- STOPPING & STARTING
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
- SORROW & CELEBRATION
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
Personally:
What season am I in or entering?
What rhythms do I need to embrace or replace?
Marriage & Family:
What season are we in or entering?
What rhythms do we need to embrace or replace?
