Everyone Has a Song to Sing (Part 2)

Everyone has a story worth sharing—and sharing our stories of our encounters with Jesus is a big part of what it means to be ambassadors of Christ.

Teaching Notes

News:  “something has happened as a result of which the world is a different place”
- Theologian/Historian NT Wright

16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.   Romans 1:16
Gospel [gr. euaggelion] – lit. good news, news that makes one happy, information that causes one joy, words that bring smiles, a message that causes the heart to be sweet.
THE GOSPEL IN STEREO: John 13:34-35

LOVE others the way Jesus LOVED you.

THE WORDS TO THE SONG: John 3:16

EVERYONE HAS A SONG TO SING: [part 2]

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20

All You Need to Know [And All the Early Church Really Had]
- The GOSPEL is POWERFUL.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.    Romans 1:16

- The EMPOWERING of the HOLY SPIRIT.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  Acts 1:8
- The TESTIMONY of TRANSFORMATION.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.  2 Timothy 1:7-9

Learning to share your story:

More from Stereo

We live in a world that is desperate for some good news. N.T. Wright defines this good news as “something [that] has happened as a result of which the world is a different place.” At the center of Christianity is good news, not good advice. Something happened 2,000 years that has the power to change your life today. In this series we’ll be unpacking what’s so good about this news and how to share it with a listening world around us.
