Child Dedication Class | THIS Sunday, May 7th
Parents of littles, we would love to invite you to participate in our upcoming child dedication taking place on Mother’s Day, May 14th! Child dedication is a public commitment that parents make that they will raise their child in a way that honors God and points their child to Him. Each dedication date has a class to attend to learn more about dedication and finalize the details of the service. This class will be this Sunday, May 7th, at 9:30am!
Mothers Day!
We know that Mother’s Day can be a day of great joy for some, and simultaneously a day that might be harder for others. At Awakening our hope is to celebrate and represent the wide spectrum of motherhood that doesn’t always fit the same mold.
You’re invited to join us for a special Sunday service where we not only want to honor mothers but also share in deep empathy and lament with those going through pain or grief. Our hope is you feel seen and loved no matter what your journey with motherhood might look like. We are also excited to show deep gratitude for the mother-figures at our church with some very special treats in store like a flower bar, craft coffee, photo booth, and more!

Lectio Divina
The ancient spiritual discipline of Lectio Divina is a sacred reading practice, intended to guide us to a place of meeting with God as we read the Scriptures. During the four weeks of our Prodigal series, we invite you to take time each day reflecting on the same passage in Luke 15 for that week (our Bible passage for the sermon series, Prodigal) as a loose companion to our Sunday services.
Food Pantry | Every 1st & 3rd Thursday
As a church, we have a partnership with CityTeam and Del Mar High School to bring a mobile food pantry to our community in San Jose! This happens every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month from 3pm-5pm. We encourage you to sign up today as we are always in need of more volunteers!
