Layth was born and raised in the Bay Area in a Christian household. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at a young age but didn’t fully follow Christ until March 2023, during his first Sunday at Awakening. Layth experienced a personal testimony to God’s power and rededicated his life to Jesus when He spoke and guided him to reconnect with a community of believers during a low spiritual season in his life.
Layth serves on the Worship Team, with the Food Pantry, and the Junior High Youth Team. After completing Protege in 2023, he was hired at Awakening as Space Director. When he’s not hanging out with the junior highers or playing guitar and bass on worship, you can find Layth setting up our church alongside the Space Team on Sundays.
