Week 3 | SIN IS SERIOUS

There’s a weariness that comes from hiding. From working so hard to look okay on the outside while knowing something isn’t right on the inside. We long to be fully known and still loved. To be free of the patterns we keep promising ourselves we’ll change. Yet we often protect the very things that keep us from becoming whole.

In Part 3 of ROOTED, Psalm 90 brings us face to face with the holiness of God and the seriousness of our sin. Through Jesus, we’re invited to come out of hiding, receive forgiveness, and surrender what keeps us bound. What if the healing we long for begins with the honesty we’re afraid of?

As we prepare for Advance Commitment Night on October 25th, many in our church family are praying through what a sacrificial two-year commitment to the Rooted vision looks like.

When we think about giving, most of us naturally think about our checking accounts or monthly income. But did you know that the vast majority of personal wealth isn’t held in cash—it’s held in assets like appreciated stock, mutual funds, and equity?

Donating stock or non-cash assets directly to Awakening Church can be one of the most tax-efficient ways to give. It allows you to avoid capital gains taxes, deduct the full market value, and make a significantly larger Kingdom impact without impacting your day-to-day cash flow!

As we step into a defining season through our ROOTED Campaign, you are invited to a pivotal evening of worship, consecration, and faith at our Advance Commitment Night on October 25th at 4pm.

Grounded in Psalm 90:17, this night is the pinnacle of our journey together as we move from a “potted” church to a deeply “planted” church, securing a permanent ministry home and training center to disciple and send generations to come. Before we invite our entire church family to respond, we are gathering our core to seek God’s heart, hear inspiring testimonies, and bring our “first fruit commitments” in an environment filled with joy, holiness, and momentum. Join us as we pray, yield, and step forward together in sacrificial generosity, trusting God to establish the work of our hands for His glory in Silicon Valley and beyond.
