That’s why you’re invited to Easter at Awakening Church — a space to pause, breathe, and experience real hope — even when life feels heavy. Easter is the story of hope breaking through the darkest moment — because God refuses to leave us where we are. Before anyone knew He was alive, Jesus didn’t show up to the powerful or the “important” — He showed up to someone overlooked, hurting, and full of questions. Good Friday is the day God’s people remember Jesus’ pain, suffering, and death on the cross – and the silence that preceded the resurrection. Each year we remind ourselves of the feeling of holding our breath, the weight of our sin, and what our salvation cost Jesus.
Join us for a one-hour service of worship, communion, and reflection led by our youth ministry on Friday, April 18th from 7-8P at Del Mar High School.

We all want to be fully known — and fully loved. But if we’re honest, that kind of vulnerability terrifies us. What if we’re rejected? What if we’re not enough? In the garden, we see humanity fully exposed — physically, emotionally, spiritually — and fully safe in love. What would it look like to recover that kind of fearless intimacy with God and with each other?
