Easter Sunday | THIS SUNDAY April 9th
Who is Jesus? Why are we still drawn to and intrigued by Him almost 2,000 years later? How did this carpenter-turned-rabbi who lived in an obscure part of the Roman Empire reshape the world as we know it?
We want to invite you to Easter at Awakening Church as we will take a fresh look at who Jesus is and why it matters to us today. Join us this Sunday, April 9th, at 9:30am & 11:15am. Kids Ministry for babies – 5th grade will be provided at both services.
THIS FRIDAY April 7th
Good Friday, as it has been called in church history, is the day we remember Jesus’ pain, suffering, death, and LOVE on the cross — and why Christians dare call it “good.” Join us for a one-hour service as we worship, take communion, and reflect together on the goodness of this sacrificial love through Christ. Join us this Friday in the Del Mar Cafeteria at 6:30pm for a family service.
Volunteers Needed!
We are in need of a few more volunteers this weekend as we prepare for our Good Friday service and Easter Sunday! We are looking for people who are available Friday, 12:30pm-2:30pm and Saturday, 9am-12pm. If you’re interested, please email [email protected] and let us know when you are free to serve!
Intro to Awakening Lunch | April 16th
Awakening’s Connect Track is your pathway to community and a space designed for you to experience belonging and getting to know us more as a church. If you’d like to get to know us more, we want to invite you to take a next step on our Connect Track and come to our Intro to Awakening Lunch with our lead pastor, Ryan. This will be next Sunday, April 16th, at the Awakening Office across the street, from 1pm – 3pm. Child care will be provided for kids 4 years old and below!

Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and our new identity in Christ! Once you have received Jesus Christ to be your Savior and Lord, baptism is the celebratory event of your commitment to Jesus with your church family! On Sunday, April 16th we will be celebrating new life by having baptisms during both our services. Please click below for more information on getting baptized!
FOOD PANTRY | Every 1st & 3rd Thursday
As a church, we have a partnership with CityTeam and Del Mar High School to bring a mobile food pantry to our community in San Jose! This happens every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month from 3pm-5pm. We encourage you to sign up today as we are always in need of more volunteers!
