As the beginning of the school year gets closer we love that we have the opportunity to partner with the Del Mar staff to set students up for success by rallying together as a church to collect school supplies and essentials for the students at Del Mar High School! At Awakening, we have committed ourselves to the belief that God gave us not just a place to meet at Del Mar, but rather a people to love. You can be part of loving on the students in greatest need here. We’ll be collecting backpacks on Sundays starting July 27th – August 10th. Please bring your backpack filled with supplies to the table outside the cafeteria! Click the link below for more details and a list of the supplies requested by Del Mar!
The Dysfunctional Family of God with Brook & Elizabeth
This Sunday as we conclude The Dysfunctional Family of God series, we are so excited to welcome Brook & Elizabeth Mosser from Intentional Parents!
Brook and Elizabeth Mosser have been serving in ministry together for nearly two decades. Brook has been a pastor for over 18 years and currently serves as the President of Intentional—a nonprofit focused on bringing spiritual formation into the center of family life. Elizabeth serves as Vice President, helping lead the vision, content, and heart of the ministry alongside Brook.
Together, they host The Intentional Parents Podcast, where they speak honestly about the joys and challenges of raising kids to follow Jesus. Brook also hosts The Intentional Fatherhood Podcast with author Justin Whitmel Early, encouraging fathers to lead their families with vision, faith, and daily habits that form the soul.
Brook and Elizabeth are parents to four kids—ages 16 down to 7—and they speak from real-life experience, not from perfection. They’ve learned to follow Jesus in the ordinary and share what they’re learning along the way. They travel and speak around the world on spiritual formation in the family and always bring a blend of honesty, wisdom, and warmth!
