At Awakening, we believe the Bible isn’t just something we study—it’s the foundation we build our lives on. But let’s be honest: understanding the Bible can feel intimidating. And when we only pick and choose what we like, we risk reshaping God into our image instead of letting Him transform us into His.
That’s why, starting January 1st, 2025, we’re committing to something bold: reading through the Old Testament together as a church, starting with the book of Genesis. This isn’t just about gaining knowledge; it’s about being deeply shaped by God’s Word and allowing it to transform the way we live. The Bible is God-breathed. It’s living. And it’s meant to teach, guide, and equip us for the life He created us to live. As Paul reminds us:
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
—1 Timothy 3:16-17
