Where do you begin when you need to hit a reset on your life? We have all tried New Year’s resolution or goals that just fall flat on their face shortly after we began. What if there is a different starting point altogether?

How do you hit the reset button on your life?

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where
Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on
earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ,
who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Colossians 3:1-3

Reset is possible because in Christ you have a new STARTING POINT.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ…


What does it mean to be raised with Christ?

RESCUED from Darkness --> Colossians 1:13
- RECONCILED by Christ --> Colossians 1:21-22
- Brought to FULLNESS --> Colossians 2:9-10
- Made ALIVE with Christ --> Colossians 2:13-15

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in
Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of
his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have
been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not
by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:6-9


Reset requires a rhythm of consistently setting your mind on THINGS ABOVE.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.


How do you set your mind on things above?

- Identify your THOUGHTS.

Where did that thought come from?

Does it align with God’s Word?


- Take that thought CAPTIVE unto Jesus.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons
we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine
power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets
itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it
obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

-Treat that thought as an ENEMY.
-Speak the truth of GOD’S WORD
-Declare Your VICTORY in Jesus.


- Change the PLAYLIST of your thought life.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or
praiseworthy—think about such things.
